Article 1 — Definitions
- General Terms and Conditions: these terms and conditions.
- User / We / Us: Maut & Vignette B.V., operating as czechvignette.cz.
- Customer / You: the person who concludes a contract with us.
- Consumer: any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession.
- Service: the service offered on czechvignette.cz—purchasing and registering a Czech digital highway vignette on your behalf.
- Service costs: the amount payable by you, including VAT, for the vignette and our service fee.
- Agreement: the contract for the purchase and registration of a digital highway vignette for the Czech Republic.
- Edalnice / Czech toll system: the official Czech electronic toll system operated by SFDI (State Fund for Transport Infrastructure), accessible at edalnice.cz.
- Vignette: digital proof of toll payment for a specific vehicle and time period, registered in the Czech edalnice system.
- Cooling-off period: the 14-day period during which a consumer may exercise their right of withdrawal.
- Withdrawal: exercising your legal right to cancel a distance contract within the cooling-off period.

Important: We are a third-party service provider. We are not the official Czech government vignette site (edalnice.cz). We purchase and register vignettes on your behalf and charge a service fee for this convenience.

Article 3 — Applicability
- These terms apply to every offer we make and every contract between you and us.
- These terms are available on our website before you complete a purchase. You can save or print them at any time.
- These terms apply to all customers, including consumers as defined in Book 6, Article 230g, of the Dutch Civil Code.
Article 4 — The Agreement
- The agreement is concluded when you accept our offer (complete checkout) and meet the conditions (provide valid details and payment).
- We will immediately confirm your order electronically.
- We use appropriate security measures for electronic payments and data transmission.
- With your order confirmation, we provide:
- Our contact details for questions or complaints
- Information about your right of withdrawal
- The total price, including VAT
- The withdrawal form
Article 5 — Your Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)
- You may cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.
- The 14-day period starts the day after you complete your purchase.
- However, when you purchase a vignette, you expressly request that we register it immediately. By completing checkout, you acknowledge that:
- You want the service performed immediately
- Once your vignette is registered in the Czech system, the service is complete
- You waive your right of withdrawal once registration is complete
- This is because a registered vignette cannot be "returned"—it's linked to your licence plate in the Czech national database.
Article 6 — How to Withdraw
- To withdraw, contact us via the Help Centre or use the withdrawal form below.
- You must notify us within the 14-day cooling-off period.
- If you withdraw after requesting immediate registration, you will pay for the portion of the service already completed.
Note: By requesting immediate performance of the service (direct registration), the Consumer acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed (the vignette is active).
Article 7 — Refunds
- We will acknowledge your withdrawal request promptly.
- If eligible for a refund, we will process it within 14 days using your original payment method.
- What we may deduct from your refund:
- Payment processing fees: Our payment processors (PayPal, card providers, and local payment methods) charge us non-refundable transaction fees. We may deduct these from your refund.
- Currency conversion fees: If you paid in a currency other than EUR, any conversion fees applied to your original payment are non-refundable and may be deducted from your refund.
- Typical payment processor fees range from 1.5–3% depending on your payment method. Currency conversion fees vary by provider.
We will confirm the exact refund amount before processing—no surprises.
Refunds are otherwise free of charge.
Article 8 — When Withdrawal Is Not Possible
- You cannot withdraw after the service is fully completed if:
- You expressly requested immediate performance (registration of your vignette)
- You acknowledged that you waive your withdrawal right once registration is complete
- Both conditions are confirmed during checkout.
Article 9 — Prices
- Our prices include:
- The official Czech vignette toll fee (as set by edalnice.cz)
- Our service fee for registration and support
- All prices include VAT.
- The total price is shown before you pay—no hidden fees.
Article 10 — Our Guarantee
- We guarantee that your vignette will be correctly registered in the Czech edalnice system.
- Fine guarantee: If you receive a fine due to an error on our part, we will:
- Refund the cost of your vignette
- Cover the fine amount
- This guarantee applies only to errors caused by us, not errors in information you provided (e.g., incorrect licence plate).
Article 11 — Delivery
- We register your vignette in the Czech system as quickly as possible—typically within minutes.
- You will receive:
- A confirmation screen immediately after payment
- An email with your order details
- A second email with your PDF confirmation once registration is complete
- Your vignette is valid from the start date you selected.
Article 12 — Payment
- Payment is due immediately at checkout.
- You must ensure the details you provide (licence plate, email) are accurate.
- If you notice an error, contact us immediately via the Help Centre.
Article 13 — Correcting Mistakes
- Before your vignette becomes valid: You can change your licence plate number and country of registration once via your dashboard or by contacting support.
- During your vignette validity: You can correct up to two characters on your licence plate and change the country of registration once.
- Contact us via the Help Centre if you need assistance.
Article 14 — Complaints
- Complaints should be submitted via our Help Centre.
- Describe your complaint clearly and include your order number.
- We will respond within 14 days. If we need more time, we'll let you know.
- EU Online Dispute Resolution: If you're an EU consumer and we can't resolve your complaint, you can use the European Commission's ODR platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
Article 15 — Liability
- We are liable for damages caused by our failure to properly register your vignette, subject to Article 10 (Fine guarantee).
- We are not liable for:
- Errors caused by the incorrect information you provided
- Issues with the Czech toll system are outside our control
- Fines incurred before your vignette's validity period
- Fines incurred after your vignette's validity period has expired
- Consequential damages beyond the fine guarantee
Article 16 — Privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at the Privacy Policy page. We comply with GDPR and do not sell your data.
Article 17 — Applicable Law
- These terms are governed by Dutch law.
- If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country.
